Designers, developers, scientists and anyone who is excited about making things with science are welcome to attend – no experience in science or hacking is necessary, just an insatiable curiosity. Who is this event for?...

Celebrating fourteen years of anime and Japanese culture, Kumoricon is back for its biggest year yet! Gaining its namesake (kumori) from the Japanese word "cloudy", we embody everything it means to live in the Pacific Northwest and love this fandom. Stretching across generations, anime fans have gathered together for an amazing annual event, rain or shine. Returning to Portland, Oregon, we are excited to bring you another wonderful anime convention designed and operated with the fans and their devotion in mind.

Peter McCoy, a 30-year old Portland native, has dedicated the past 15-years to studying the diverse and integral roles fungi play in the environment, human cultures, and social movements. In 2006 McCoy founded Radical Mycology, a grassroots organization dedicated to increasing awareness of the many ways that fungi (i.e. mushrooms, molds, yeasts, and lichens) can enhance personal, societal, and ecological health. A decade later, McCoy has written Radical Mycology to detail the wide array of skills and insights...
